Black Stone Flower

Commonly known as black stone flower, it is a species of lichen used as a spice in India. Typically used in meat dishes like nihari, Bombay biryani, and goat meat stews, it is also used in vegetarian dishes to enhance the colour and the flavour of any food to which it is added.
